Making good people helpless, won't make bad people harmless.
The chances are you can find what you want from a third party on the internet. But how do you get it in your hands? That's where we can help. Our Federal Firearms License (FFL) allows us to receive a firearm from the seller and transfer it to you.
Illinois Waiting Period
Pursuant to Illinois law, 720 ILCS 5/24-3, sellers must withhold delivery of a long gun, rifle or shotgun, for 24 hours and a handgun for 72 hours from the time the application for purchase has been reached. Violation of that provision is Unlawful Sale or Delivery of Firearms and is a Class 4 Felony, punishable by up to 1-3 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Individual FFL's may have their own policies and procedures to observe the waiting period. Most will start the waiting period once the firearm is in their possession. Not us. The Firearms Transfer Inquiry Program (FTIP) still has to be followed. Just because the shipper's tracking number says it has been delivered, doesn't mean you can pick it up immediately. Dealers are still required to receive approvals from the State Police before the transaction can be completed.
How the process works (when the seller doesn't have our FFL on file)
